We are
looking for an Associate/Assistant Professor to drive impactful research and
teaching of luxury business management, solidifying Glion's position as a
thought leader in this niche. Focus on client experience, sustainability,
marketing, guest experience, and sales in the luxury sector.
Responsibilities:
- Research (60% workload):
- Conduct research on luxury business
management in relevant areas, including hospitality, retail, aviation,
etc.
Publish findings in high-impact academic
journals and present at international conferences
- Develop and enhance the Glion Research
& Innovation Center, actively fostering a vibrant research culture
within the institution
- Teaching (40% workload):
- Design and deliver courses on luxury
business management, sustainable luxury practices, and luxury marketing
at undergraduate and graduate levels
- Create engaging learning experiences
using diverse teaching methodologies, such as case studies, simulations,
and group projects
- Provide constructive feedback on student
performance and mentor students to achieve academic success
- Contribute to curriculum development and
program reviews
Profile and
experiences:
- Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a
relevant field
- Expertise in
luxury, consumer behaviour, and sustainability
- Strong track
record in publishing research on luxury-focused topics
- Research skills:
proven ability to design and conduct rigorous research, analyze data, and
write for academic publication
- Subject
Matter Expertise: deep knowledge and understanding of luxury, consumer
behaviour, and sustainability
- Communication
and interpersonal skills: strong written and oral communication skills,
interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues
and students from diverse backgrounds
- Language proficiency: fluency in English
is essential, proficiency in French is an advantage
