Responsibilities
- Provide a globally consolidated, harmonized data model to support use cases in the banking industry (including Common Data Model and a self-service data science work
bench) - Capture and model data requirements
- Define data, business rules, data quality requirements, and logical data models
- Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
- Closely collaborate with the Data and Analytics Program Management and stakeholders to co-design Enterprise Data Strategy and Common Data Model
- Development, coordination, and implementation of principles, best practices, guidelines, and standards for Common Data Model and its consistency
- Work with the development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and support development of conceptual data model
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in physical and relational data modeling in the banking industry
- Experience in large data migration projects and Big Data on-prem architecture (Lambda Architecture, Apache Stack)
- Experience in translating business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions
- Experience in reverse engineering of physical data models
- Experience in evaluating existing data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies
- Hands-on experience with visual Data Transformation / Modeling tools (Alteryx, Dataiku, Tableau prep, Hackolade, Erwin)
- Knowledge of reference architectures, especially concerning integrated, data-driven landscapes and solutions
- Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools
- Strong understanding of data modeling standards, processes and tools (cleansing, Meta Data etc.)
- Knowledge of agile project management and methods (e.g., Scrum, SAFe)
- Fluent in English
