Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform Quality activities for Advanced Nuclear projects for compliance to regulatory, customer and GEH internal requirements.
- Perform project execution activities for Advanced Nuclear projects for procured product.
- Work proactively with suppliers to define specific quality requirements, including development of inspection, verification, and qualification processes, in addition to tests and processes to assure products and services meet the GEH and customer quality requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to suppliers toward assuring product/process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Work proactively with suppliers to resolve quality concerns applying technical and quality expertise to deliver project quality requirements.
- Execute supplier quality surveillance program for New Reactor activities.
- Disposition of supplier non-conforming products.
- Write and review technical quality documents, plans and procedures.
- Support future error prevention through the use of the corrective action processes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 8 years of experience in the Nuclear industry.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering support or working in a nuclear quality assurance related capacity.
Eligibility Requirements
- The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered.
- Must be willing to travel to supplier and customer sites as required. (Up to 40%).
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Knowledge of Nuclear customers, industry programs and competitive environments.
- Exhibit a strong Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Knowledge of welding and non-destructive examination processes.
- Experience in conducting quality inspections of equipment, components, or systems to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer focused team environment.
- Demonstrated self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; proven ability to develop team relationships.
- Experience interacting with senior leadership at customer, supplier or regulatory organizations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Demonstrated desire to be involved in a rapidly changing and challenging work environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ASME NQA-1, CSA N299, and CSA N285 standards and ISO-9001.
- 2 years of experience in Nuclear quality role.
The base pay range for this position is 99k – 125k. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 9/30/24.
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
