To reinforce our team, we are seeking for a meticulous and enthusiastic Technician to support prototyping developments of RRP devices in the Aerosol Engine Research group of the RRP System Innovation team. The position will mainly consist in performing hands-on laboratory work. The candidate will execute electronic device assembly and will learn advanced techniques for prototype assessment, while managing demanding time constrains.
- Perform electronic assembly and testing.
- Conduct routine activities such as perform sampling, assessment, verification, and data consolidation.
- Analyze data to draw conclusions, identify discrepancies, and determine root causes.
- Support device prototyping and test-bench implementation.
- Apply educational and experiential principles to support design development by proposing, prototyping, or evaluating new technologies or design concepts.
- Contribute to writing simple technical reports.
- Education: Swiss Federal Certificate (CFC) in electronics, physics or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in electronic device development activities.
- Other skills:
- Strong interest in laboratory work and ability to operate electronics-related equipment, from soldering iron to characterization systems such as multimeter, oscilloscope, LCR meter, and network analyzer.
- Hands-on approach with an open-minded, agile, dynamic and eager-to-learn attitude.
- Proficiency in standard computer software. Knowledge of CAD software and/or microcontroller programming would be a plus.
- Good level of spoken and written English.
