IS Manufacturing Application Owner and Process Engineer (80-100%) (m/f/d)

As an IS Manufacturing Application Owner and Process Engineer you will play a key role in ensuring smooth factory operations while acting as a technical expert and consultant in building new solutions.

You will be the primary contact for production and assembly departments regarding factory integration and process improvement initiatives. As part of the Factory Integration Team at our global headquarters in Baden, Switzerland, you will develop deep knowledge of Accelleron's processes and application landscape.

Your responsibilities:

Process Engineering:

• Analyze, enhance and optimize IS systems that support production and assembly processes.

• Consult business teams on investment projects and process optimizations within the IS application landscape.

• Leverage existing IS systems and solutions, ensuring their effective application and continuous improvement, while also identifying opportunities for new, innovative solutions.

• Evaluate new investments and applications with a structured, transparent approach, ensuring alignment with IT infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity.

• Identify trends and key enabling technologies in Industry 4.0 to enhance business process efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with business teams to identify technology-driven process improvement opportunities.

Application Ownership:

• Manage a segment of the Factory Applications Portfolio, which includes solutions such as guidance systems for highly integrated automated manufacturing cells including TDM and DNC ,IoT device integration and shopfloor connectivity.

• Ensure seamless integration of Backend Systems (ERP, MES) with Manufacturing Control Systems and production equipment.

• Define application roadmaps and long-term manufacturing application strategies.

• Collaborate with business process owners and IS delivery teams to drive value creation through advanced technologies.

• Ensure IS security and compliance within the production application landscape in close cooperation with IS security teams.

Project Management:

• Act as the central point of contact for IT hardware and software integration in large-scale investment projects.

• Lead IT system integration efforts for new production equipment.

• Oversee projects from initiation and design to successful implementation.

• Drive process digitalization as a matter expert to ensure end-to-end process improvement for all new investments.

Your background:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial environment or equivalent project experience during studies.

• Strong expertise in modern production IT applications and MES systems.

• Proven experience as an application owner in a manufacturing setting.

• Experience in IT infrastructure (networking, cybersecurity, hardware integration) is a plus.

• Solid project management experience (agile/hybrid methodologies).

• Fluent in English and German (business proficiency required).
