Join our R&D Smart Controls department in Ebikon to expand your expertise, tackle exciting challenges, and innovate with state-of-the-art tools and methods while driving continuous progress through technical development of new components and technologies.
In this role, you ensure continuity of our platform design by collaborating with software, machines and testing teams as part of Schindler's global matrix organization.
Your new challenges include:

Evaluating and demonstrating the technical feasibility of electronic components and subsystems including embedded controls hardware for power electronics applications.

End-to-end development (analyzing, developing, testing, implementing, verifying) of new electronic components and new electronic systems.

Planning and executing hardware development projects while ensuring alignment with cost and reliability targets.

Leading the development and continuing improvement of embedded controls PCB's for power electronics applications including schematics, layout, and design for manufacturing.

Preparing, supporting, and moderating FMEA's and Design-FMEA's on component, PCBA, and system level including consideration of relevant standards.
You are a proactive and reliable team player with strong problem-solving skills. Your analytical thinking, combined with clear and effective communication, enable you to tackle technical matters precisely. You excel in collaboration, adapt to new challenges, and take ownership of your work with a structured and organized approach.
Further requirements may include:

Master's degree in electronics engineering with focus on embedded hardware, experience with power electronics and motor drives is considered as an asset

Extensive experience (at least 5 years) in the field of hardware development of distributed embedded control systems and active analogue front-ends for power electronics.

Proven experience with PCBA development for signal integrity, thermal performance, electromagnetic compatibility, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Preferred experience in functional safety for electric and electronic designs.

Ability to coach and supervise apprentices and university students.

Proficient level of English, German is a plus.
