Tasks

• Support of the IT infrastructure (racks, network, server and storage systems) at the DC locations in close cooperation with the responsible departments
• Installation and deinstallation of all systems in the racks
• Cabling of active and passive IT components
• Maintenance of the CMDB of the data centre infrastructure management system (DCIM)
• Creation of process documentation
• Coordination and support of external service providers and technicians in the DC areas
• Process and quality controls to ensure compliance with security and availability-relevant specifications, standards and best practices
• Support with DC-relevant audits/assessments and preparation and provision of required evidence
• Willingness to take over the weekly 7×24 hour on-call duty (“Pikettdienst”

Requirements

• Highly reliable and accurate working style and experience in providing services in critical DC infrastructures.
• Expertise in the provision of DC-related hardware installation services (racking / cabling / decommissioning / documentation) as well as in the associated incident and problem handling procedures.
• Proficiency in ORIGEM (Sunbird DCIM Solution) / Silva (Service Now)
• Fluent speaking and writing skills in German and English
• Valid Driving Licence (Car)

Miscellaneous

The work must be carried out at the customer’s premises in Zurich. Home office is not possible.
