Are you ready to take the next step in your scientific career? If so, Syngenta can help you make it. We are currently looking for a Process Chemist / Process Engineer to join us in our site in Münchwilen, Switzerland as a Process Safety Specialist.
As a member of the team, you will:
- Play a key role in developing safe manufacturing processes
- Be part of a diverse, global team carrying out critical and strategic projects
- Liaise with partners to ensure timely study completion
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing knowledge and direction in process safety
- Supporting Syngenta's new product development and pilot plant manufacturing
- Contributing to novel technologies and approaches for flammability risks and controls
- Providing process safety training and coaching to colleagues throughout the region

Extensive prior specialization in process safety is not essential, as you will be joining a group of globally recognised technical experts that will support your development in this area. What we do require from you is
- MA degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, PhD is advantageous
- Ideally 3 years of experience in process development and organic chemistry
- Experience of Process Risk Assessment techniques (e.g. HAZOP) in the context of batch chemical processing
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Fluent in English; German or French skills will be an advantage
