Job Description
The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Preferred Experience
· 6-8 years of overall development work experience.
· 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
· Building scalable Java J2EE RESTful Web service applications with Angular 6+ as UI technology.
· Experience in Spring/Spring-Boot/Hibernate
· Must have worked in Agile methodologies.
· Experience in writing JUnit and Karma testcases.
· Experience in Autosys, JIRA, BitBukcet/Git, Eclipse, Visual Code
· Knowledge of Enterprise Container Service
· The candidate should be proficient with Oracle PL/SQL
· Good to have experience in Linux/UNIX environment and scripts
· Experience working on parallel development tracks at the same time is required
· Experience in leading/mentoring smaller development teams is necessary
· Adhere to the SDLC process, & also ensure others follow process too.
· Should have root cause analysis skills, able to quickly analyse and interpret code and ensure that issues are resolved or escalated appropriately.
· Must have prior proven experience in coding, development and testing of programs & modules
Key Accountabilities/Duties:
· The candidate will be responsible for designing and building solutions for a global application within Compliance group.
· Candidate is required to support defining and gathering regional requirements.
· Candidate would work closely with the offshore development team in order to define the relevant solution design that will satisfy business requirements and support the testing and implementation of the solution.
· Java J2EE/Spring/Hibernate/Angular will be the primary technology used supplemented by strong technical appreciation of Oracle database and SQL
· The candidate will apply internal standards for re-use, architecture, testing and general best practices.
· The candidate will be responsible for Full Software Development Lifecycle, Code reviews, test case reviews and ensure code developed meets the requirements, Component Design/ Coding/ Unit testing/ Debugging, and Level 3 production support.
· Implement user stories end to end with code changes in different layers including (but not limited to) UI and backend along with automated unit test cases for same.
Qualifications:
· 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
· Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
· Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
· Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
· Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Mandatory Tech Skills:
· Angular 6 or above
· Spring/Spring-Boot/Hibernate
· Javascript
· HTML5
· CSS (Less, Bootstrap)
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
