Software Engineer (m/f/d) - Bensheim, Germany
We are looking for an experienced and talented Software Engineer(m/f/d)to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the DS cloud-based offerings and drive systematic implementation of services and components with best practices.
Your Responsibilities:
- Write high quality code based on our architecture and technical standards
- Provide technical implementations for seamless realization of business needs and features
- Support in the refinement of stories and estimate effort and time needed for each subtask
- Support the product owner in defining epics, writing user stories and acceptance criteria
- Assist in defining and collaborating on APIs with adjacent teams
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to development processes, coding standards and best practices
- Contribute your own ideas in our agile development process
- Identify opportunities to improve code quality, efficiency, and maintainability
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code functionality and maintainability
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies relevant to the project
- Manages personal workload and meets deadlines efficiently
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Your profile:
- BS or MS in computer science or related engineering disciplines
- 2+ years as a software developer
- History of delivered successful software products is a plus
- Experience in one of the frontend driving programming languages (e.g., Dart/Flutter, TypeScript, JavaScript)
- Experience in one of the backend driving programming languages (e.g., Golang, C++, Python)
- Experience in software development under Windows and/or Linux
- Experience in CI/CD, Containerization (Docker) and Cloud Computing (e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes) advantageous
- Experience with DevOps advantageous (e.g., Go Utilities, Artifactory Management, CMake)
Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:
- Ability to solve technical problems
- Produce high-quality and reliable code
- Knowledge of frontend and backend development best practices
- Knowledge of methodologies like agile development, DevOps and test-driven and behavior-driven development methods
- Technical enthusiast with broad overview constantly eager to engage in new technologies and challenges
- Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. German advantageous.
- Self-organized and self-reliant, but willing to learn and share knowledge
- Open-minded, communicative, and strong commitment
- Ambition and readiness for improvement and learning of new techniques
