Head of R&D Flow Sensors (m/f/d)

As the Head of R&D Flow Sensors, you will continue to build up the strategic competencies for the next generation of flow sensors for GF Piping Systems. You will be responsible for measurement conception, uncertainty budgets, and the overall accuracy of flow sensors. With your team of seven engineers and colleagues from product management, you will drive the development of these new sensors, focusing on timely implementation on the market. The position is open because the current position holder was promoted.

Your tasks:

• Lead and develop a young team of engineers
• Responsible for flow sensor development projects, technology monitoring, and related IPR
• Extending core competencies in flow sensor development within R&D and across the organization
• Define measurement concepts, calculate uncertainty budgets, and own the overall responsibility for the quality and accuracy of flow sensors
• Organize all resources for the flow sensor development including the build-up and operation of lab infrastructure
• Manage the interfaces to external (development partners) and internal partners (product management, production, project management, or sales)

Your profile:

• A master's degree in physics, electrical engineering or similar
• At least 6 years of experience in the development of flow sensors
• Experience in leading teams
• Used to work with interdisciplinary teams and confident in communication about all technical domains. (electronics, software, or mechanics)
• Ability to communicate to key stakeholders from the senior management team, peers, and external partners
• Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and cooperation
• Team player with a sportive competitive attitude.
• A very good level of English and German
