Celerion is hiring a Systems Administrator to join the IT team.
As the System Administrator, you will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure.
Location: Our headquarters are in Lincoln, NE, just south of downtown. This position will be hybrid; working 1-2 days on-site each week. We are seeking candidates who are within driving distance to Lincoln.

- You will offer provisioning-related solutions for various projects and operational needs
- Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
- Assists with Developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures.
- Contribute to and maintain system standards.
- Research and recommend innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
- Work on support tickets and operational tasks assigned by the Senior Systems Administrator and the Associate Director for Enterprise Infrastructure & Security
- Serve as primary technical resource on projects and project tasks assigned
- Assist with daily system monitoring and daily backup operations,
- Serve as an escalation point for technical issues and support requests from various internal and external entities, investigating and troubleshooting issues
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure or add new services as necessary.
- Partner with on-site support staff (OSS) to resolve day-to-day tickets and troubleshooting. OSS is responsible for being the “1st level” of support, this position will be responsible for “2nd level” support to resolve issues related to the server and network infrastructure.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of hands-on professional experience with server-based technologies Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and above required
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10 Workstation systems and above required
- Experience with VMWare vSphere and Backup solutions required
- Strong knowledge of server security
- In depth understanding of support technologies: Active Directory Domain Services with GPO, WSUS, NPS and DFS Management
- Knowledge of M365 and in-depth knowledge of Entra ID required
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and VMware Certified Professional certifications are a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once
