Front of House Manager / Chef de Service

Introduction

Gaijin AG is a gastronomy company founded in 2019. Currently operating three establishments in Zurich and continuously looking for new opportunities in the Zurich Area and or other cities. We are constantly looking for passionate, driven and loyal employees to join our teams. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the success of our establishments.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the front of house team.
• Ensure all guests receive a warm welcome and excellent service.
• Train and supervise staff, ensuring they adhere to high standards of service.
• Manage reservations and handle customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage employee scheduling and holidays and hour tracking.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Fluency in English and German is required, other languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of the Swiss gastronomy market is a plus.
