US - Insurance Lawyer

We are currently Insurance Lawyers to work with Axiom's top tier clients. 

Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate contracts related to insurance products offerings or reinsurance contracts 


• Provide legal advice to internal business units on a variety of legal, insurance regulatory, and underwriting compliance issues for commercial lines business units


• Conduct legal and regulatory research to help ensure compliance with applicable insurance law and regulations


• Review and design documents, policy forms, prospectuses, and registration statements

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working in-house with insurance company or financial services organization handling insurance product related matters


• Experience advising on insurance product development and drafting and negotiating relevant documentation


• Property and casualty experience would be ideal 


• Experience with insurance and reinsurance deal process; Life and annuities products;


• Deep understanding of state and federal law regulating annuities and other insurance related products


• Experience reviewing and analyzing reinsurance documents is beneficial  

Compensation, Benefits & Location:

This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $130,000 and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401K and more.  Axiomites also get access to professional development resources and learning and development programs. Axiomites predominately work remotely, with the exception that some clients require on-site presence.
