Make your mark for patients
We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager who is eager to join us in our Business Acceleration department, based in our manufacturing site in Bulle, Switzerland.
About the role
As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be dedicated to enhancing global performance by improving product and service quality, reducing costs, and optimizing process flows.
You will analyse and resolve major performance issues, establishing site KPIs and scorecards, and aligning departmental objectives with UCB's vision and strategy. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, lead key initiatives, organize and conduct training sessions, and lead the department's team.
What you’ll do
- Leadership: Lead and coach the team of specialists.
- Complex Problem Solving/Troubleshooting: Proactively and reactively address and resolve major performance issues impacting the site.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture: Lead initiatives, measure performance, resolve major issues, eliminate waste (lean), reduce variability (six sigma), support efficient meetings, and prioritize ideation and problem-solving.
- Foster a learning culture for the department: Define and organize trainings, establish documentation, lead internal training, and support trainees in implementing learned tools and techniques.
- Reporting: Define and update dashboards for Continuous Improvement, contribute to site dashboard and BSC, and perform monthly reporting according to UCB rules.
- Digitalisation: Promote and support digital initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Benchmark: Identify and evaluate innovative solutions to support continuous improvement.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
- An Engineering degree in a relevant field or similar.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in Manufacturing Management.
- Good understanding of a manufacturing plant subject to cGxP regulations and good knowledge on interactions between all functions.
- LEAN Green Belt certification a preferred plus.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Coaching and training for project owners.
- The drive to challenge change.
- Ability to solve current and major problems and provide solutions to future challenges.
- Confirmed practice in the fields of Operational Excellence and process improvement.
- Experience in controlling and respecting a budget.
- Ability to develop a data driven and fact-based approach at site level.
- Ability to simplify processes to produce more value-added activities.
- Communicating and cooperating in a positive, authentic and inspiring way.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Languages: French and English (written and spoken).
