Job Description
At Merkle, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do.
To help us to drive innovation, and build e-commerce solutions that improve customer experience, we are looking to reinforce our team with a versatile Senior Java Developer with ideally experience in E-Commerce.
In this role we offer a hybrid work environment, with 3 days working from the office of one of our large clients.
Here are some of the exciting tasks awaiting you:
- Design and develop newest e-Commerce and omni-channel projects
- Maintain, extend, and develop the product and solutions
- Provide technical expertise and support to the development team
- Guide on best practices and architecture
- Develop and perform unit tests
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Developers, Scrum Masters, Architects) globally
- Estimate and challenge development efforts with the Product and Project Team
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to automate integration processes (CI/CD)
- Collaborate with the Support Team to solve software issues and enrich support documentation
- Support QA in defining test strategies
Qualifications
A mix of the following is the person we are looking for:
- Experience in E-Commerce development within a matrix organization, OMS experience a big plus but not a must
- Experience with software architecture and the development lifecycle
- Knowledge of stock management and order flow topics
- Strong background in Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, and modern APIs
- Proficiency in Python development
- Experience with Python and SAP integration is a plus
- Knowledge of cloud-native solutions, microservice architecture, Docker, Kubernetes
- Understanding of MySQL and MongoDB
- Team-oriented with a friendly and approachable communication style
- Fluent in English
