DevOps Engineer / Service Owner

With around 180 employees, Switch supports Switzerland's universities, research institutions, and critical infrastructure organizations on their way to a secure and trustworthy digital age. With innovative IT services, secure infrastructures, expert advice, and the networking of relevant specialist communities, we help our customers effectively and efficiently use the opportunities offered by digitization.

Our team of seven experts provides internal services such as CI/CD pipelines and images, as well as external services. Our external offerings include solutions for file synchronization and sharing, as well as digital portfolios. For these external services, we are looking for a dedicated individual to join us as a DevOps Engineer who will also take on the role of Service Owner.

DevOps Engineer / Service Owner (80-100% - all identities and backgrounds)

Your main tasks are

• Take ownership as the Service Owner for Switch Drive and Switch Portfolio.
• Coordinate customer support (including first-level support and escalation management).
• Communicate with stakeholders and manage customer and supplier relationships.
• Support the team in daily tasks such as DevSecOps, monitoring (Thanos), and logging (Loki).

What you bring

• Strong expertise in Unix/Linux, Kubernetes, Helm, as well as databases, web servers, and NFS.
• Experience in DevSecOps and Ansible.
• Excellent communication skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken; knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage.
• Openness, enthusiasm for learning new things, and a strong team spirit.
