Surval Montreux is a unique international girls’ boarding school in Switzerland which presents an imaginative vision of education for girls aged 12-19. Surval Montreux fosters independent and bold thinking, challenging every girl to extend her personal horizons and make the very best of herself.
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified teacher of History and Social Studies from August 2025.
The position is 50 % (minimum) but carries the possibility for a suitable candidate for a full-time position, combined with the role of Assistant Head Academic.
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; proven experience teaching History to Advanced Placement and the American High School Program is desirable, but experience in other High School curricular programmes will be considered.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic and creative practitioner, committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning and expected to play an active role within our international full-boarding community.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in History and/or Humanities
- Teaching qualification
- Teaching experience in an international school desirable
- Fluency in English, French an advantage but not essential
- A team player willing to play a full and active part in the all-round education provided by Surval
