Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
REPORTS TO: Director, Supply Chain
JOB PURPOSE:
- Responsible for the global management and supply of products covered Under the TIL Tax Scheme and on the generation of production plans to achieve shipment of product in the required quantities and at the required time to meet customer demand for all other products manufactured in TIL
- Requires communication with global Takeda affiliates, suppliers, contract manufacturing organisations (CMOs) as well as internal stakeholders.
- Requires the application of sound technical skills and experience in the supply of finished solid oral dosage products. To fulfil this role there must be constant communication with the relevant personnel to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and submission data.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of Supply planning, demand planning and detailed scheduling within TIL Bray, including the Management of the Planning & Supply Chain Team.
- Make sure all new product introductions and transfers occur as per the launch schedule
- Ensure that raw materials are purchased and available for production at the right time.
- Liaise with markets and other stakeholders on issues affecting delays in production/shipping.
- Replenishment out to the customers and affiliates.
- Development of processes and systems to enable smooth information flow between TIL, Takeda Affiliates and suppliers/CMOs to manage order processing, external/internal manufacture and delivery.
- Ensure all appropriate contracts are in place with Takeda Affiliates and CMOs.
- Ensure internal communication with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering through the FSOP process.
- AGILE: Focus on Cost reduction initiatives and KPI improvements within the Dept as per targets set for annual budgets. Owner of KPI's: Responsiveness, CSL, DIO, Launch excellence
- Mange stock holding policies in TIL and LOC's that are under replenishment
- Responsible for forecasting and capacity planning.
- Ensure legal and administrative flows are set up and are followed (Example TPIZ, Irish license model)
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate fully in any cross functional training initiatives.
- Drive and promote the corporate values of Takeda-ism within the workplace.
- Actively foster, in cooperation with other TIL staff, an ethos and culture of safety awareness where safety is accepted as an integral part of the overall business. Ensure that Accident Reports / Near Miss Forms are completed in a timely manner after an event.
- Ensure timely completion of all SOP, reading, training and assessment.
- Other duties as required and directed by the relevant Director or other Officer appointed by the Board of Directors.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 3rd Level Degree Qualification, APICS qualification
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant experience in a Production Planning role (at least 3 years required, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.)
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate strong planning and coordinating skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access applications
- Proficiency In SAP planning modules and APO
- Experience of new product introduction is desirable.
