The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), Worldwide Olympic Partners, and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.

As Brand Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Brand Unit’s mission, contributing to the Olympic brand strategy and development. You will be responsible for promoting the Olympic brand and ensuring that all Olympic properties are used consistently and appropriately within the IOC, host cities, and the Olympic family. Committed to excellence, you will ensure the smooth operation of your section while continuously developing your skills in line with the IOC’s training policy.
Additionally, you may be called upon to take on other responsibilities as needed, adapting to evolving priorities and opportunities within the organization.
Main responsibilities
Contribute to the strategic development of the brand
- Support the Head of Brand with the brand strategic development.
- Work with all stakeholders to identify brand development needs in line with the organisation’s strategic roadmap.
- Help continue to position the IOC as the Organising Committees’ primary point of contact for brand-related matters throughout the Olympic Games lifecycle: from the dialogue phase and brand strategy analysis to the development and implementation of the look, and the legacy phase.
Brand expertise centre
- Update and continue to develop the centralised platform that addresses all brand-related questions for the IOC and its partners.
- Ensure that the Brand Centre content and the applicable guidelines are consistent and up to date, in cooperation with the relevant departments.
Brand-related services for other departments
- Serve as the main point of contact for Olympic brand-related questions for all IOC departments.
- Ensure that use of the brand by the IOC (for its products and services) is consistent in the long term, so that the organisation’s role and work can be promoted by leveraging the brand.
- Promote the IOC’s identity as a unique organisation and position the IOC as a point of reference when it comes to using the Olympic properties.
- Identify and manage best practices for brand use, in order to improve the guidelines and the approval process.
- Develop all the tools and guidelines required to successfully apply the IOC’s corporate identity. Conduct regular reviews and make updates where necessary.
- Identify needs for, offer and run training and information sessions on the IOC’s corporate identity.
- Manage relations with all partners (internal and external) in connection with the development and application of the IOC’s corporate identity.
- Help to strategically review the IOC’s product portfolio on a regular basis and support other departments in analysing and developing products in accordance with the IOC’s strategy.
- Assist the Head of Brand in monitoring the brand budget, in light of how it is used at the IOC.
- Assist the IOC teams, where necessary, with brand-related project management, from briefing design to agency support.
Education; language, IT skills and competences
- Higher education (Bachelor’s/Master’s, federal diploma, etc.).
- Professional experience in the fields of brand (ideally non-commercial), graphic design and communication.
- Proven experience in brand project management – experience in an international organisation would be a plus.
- Excellent speaking and writing skills in English and French. Knowledge of other languages would be a plus.
- Good knowledge of graphic design tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
- Full proficiency with corporate tools and adherence to internal rules of use (Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and deal with complex issues in a structured way. Keen ability to think strategically, see the bigger picture and make appropriate recommendations.
- Interpersonal skills: experience in engaging and interacting with others at all levels of an organisation, and in compiling and communicating information that is often complex and sensitive.
- Good analytical and decision-making skills, and ability to look at issues from different angles.
- Strong service orientation: excellent client-focused service; problem-solving skills; and an ability to follow up on and disseminate information.
- Ability to reach a consensus through mutual concessions when dealing with the competing interests of different parties.
- Strong presentation/training skills: ability to express complex ideas or facts clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with the aim of informing or persuading others and facilitating decision-making.
