First Line Sales Leader Hematology (m/f/d)
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic First Line Sales Leader (FLSL) Hematology (m/f/d) to join our growing Hemato-Oncology Franchise. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in the hematology field, specifically the Multiple Myeloma market.
The FLSL will lead the Hematology sales force, providing excellent coaching and training to ensure the team excels in delivering impactful narratives in a scientifically complex field.
The candidate should have a scientific degree, experience in people management, experience in sales and preferably marketing experience. Fluency in German and strong proficiency in English are required, with other languages being a plus. The job is based in Switzerland but requires travel within the country.
Key responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate the Hematology sales force to achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives. Serve as a role model for the sales team, demonstrating best practices, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence in all sales activities.
- Coaching and Development: Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance the skills and performance of the sales team.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans in alignment with GSK’s overall business objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the sales team, providing regular feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Customer Relationship Management: Accountable for the team fostering and maintaining strong relationships with key healthcare professionals and stakeholders to drive sales and market share.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, medical, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant pharmaceutical industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Event Coordination: Organize and manage sales meetings, training sessions, and other events to support the sales team and promote GSK’s hemato-oncology portfolio.
- Travel: The job is based in Switzerland but requires travel within the country.
Qualifications & skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, or related field (master’s degree preferred) or equivalent para-medical education.
- Experience in the hematology field, specifically the Multiple Myeloma market is a strong plus.
- Experience in people management.
- Sales experience is a must, additional marketing experience is a plus
- Excellent mastery of IT (Excel, PowerPoint, Cloud Services, etc.)
- Ability to articulate complex scientific subject matter in a clear and concise way
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics, healthcare reimbursement, and payer landscapes is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and tactics.
- Proficient in project management and business context comprehension, with a focus on showing responsibility, working autonomously, and in cross-functional teams.
- Results-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset, characterized by a proactive “can do” and “will do” attitude, coupled with proven time management and multitasking capabilities even under pressure.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative matrix-environment.
- Fluent in German and at least strong proficiency in English is a must. Other languages are a plus.
