As a Strategy Project Manager you will support the overall strategic planning, implementation and tracking process for the company Strategy 2024-2029 cycle and beyond. This role will have responsibility for directly managing a range of key projects across all the core engines business. It will support our assessment of the competitive landscape and will be a key member of the team executing growth, commercial and M&A projects.

As a Strategy Project Manager you will support the overall strategic planning, implementation and tracking process for the company Strategy 2024-2029 cycle and beyond. This role will have responsibility for directly managing a range of key projects across all the core engines business. It will support our assessment of the competitive landscape and will be a key member of the team executing growth, commercial and M&A projects.
Your tasks
1. Corporate Development- Support the process of defining the overall company strategy and ensuring alignment with all support functions
- Ownership of designated workstreams within the strategy planning process
- Analyze emerging industry trends and macro-economic developments and the impact they will have on the company and its strategy going forward
- Ensure preparation for Steering Committees and other C-level reviews for topics that fall under the responsibility of the Strategy function
2. Strategy Execution – Projects
- Drive or assist selected projects assigned to the Strategy function, that support the execution of the company long-term roadmap – e.g. M&As, joint ventures, new product development, geographical footprint expansion and others
- Create business cases and ensure validation for selected projects
- Be able to condense complex topics, often with incomplete information, into concise strategic options/scenarios (backed by financial data) for management decision making
- Establish effective communication channels between Strategy, Operations and other support functions, in order to enable an effective implementation of the company strategy
- Execute other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by VP Group Strategy and CEO
Your Profile
- Degree in Business Administration / Engineering
- Previous work expertise in Corporate Development in Aviation MRO, Aerospace or Manufacturing-related industries and/or Consulting background is highly desirable
- 3-5 years relevant experience in a Corporate Development / Strategic Finance role or alternatively 2-3 years in Consulting
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Solutions orientated and able to simplify complex matters, as well as being comfortable to constantly deal with new and often incomplete information
- Self-sufficient, comfortable with working autonomously as well as in cross-functional teams
- Manage different and often polarized stakeholders and ultimately having the ability to provide factually correct, well-documented scenarios for decision making
- Able to operate in a very dynamic environment, where having to change focus often is expected
- Demonstrated hands-on attitude of getting things done herself/himself when needed
- Full professional proficiency in English required, German will be considered a plus, but not mandatory
