Building Physics Internship
Sound prediction using energetic transmission models for sanitary installation systems
In building physics, noise control involves reducing sound interference between rooms. This requires evaluating measures to understand sound introduction, transmission, and radiation. We're pioneering an energetic consideration method for more accurate sound prediction. As an intern, you'll work with cutting-edge equipment, contributing to innovative acoustic measurement and forecasting methods at Geberit’s unique building physics laboratory with extensive measurement technology and analysis capabilities.
MAIN TASKS
As an intern, you will take a deep dive into sound control in building physics, with a focus on developing and refining energetic transmission models. You will collaborate closely with our acoustics experts, gaining invaluable insights into innovative measurement and forecasting methods.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning, conducting, and overseeing acoustic measurement
- Implementing a prognosis calculation tool to enhance sound prediction accurac
- Presenting and communicating findings effectivel
- Developing a database for managing measurement data
PROFILE
- Previous acoustic experience advantageous but not mandatory
- Keen interest in scientific inquiry and meticulous work methods
- Capacity for independent work
- Proficiency in Matlab or similar programming languages beneficial
- Willingness to enhance programming skills during the internship highly encouraged
