This position is located in Investigative and Immunosafety, a department within the Pharmaceutical Sciences function. We drive the non-clinical safety assessment of drug candidates from small molecules to complex biological products during the discovery and development phases at Roche.
The Opportunity
We are offering an outstanding opportunity for a Predictive Safety Analyst with expertise in renal toxicology to design and execute preclinical in vitro models to support prioritization and de-risking of novel therapeutic agents throughout the drug discovery and development process. This position will work closely with stakeholders from several disciplines including toxicology project leaders, small molecule research and DMPK.

You propose, conduct and report investigative toxicology strategies to understand the mechanisms of renal toxicity.

You support the development and automation of predictive safety models

You are accountable for the scientific delivery of modern regulated and/or non-regulated toxicology assays to inform risk assessment of discovery and development projects.

In this role, you will also drive the design and development of advanced methods in predictive toxicology (e.g. for novel modalities) and the application of these to inform decision-making.

You collaborate with in vivo study teams through your expert knowledge of renal toxicology
Who you are

You hold a PhD in Toxicology, Biology or a related discipline. A DABT or ERT certification is an asset.

You bring a minimum of 10 years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry

You have a proven track record in designing and implementing renal toxicology strategies & in vitro assays

Previous toxicology leadership and experience in interacting with regulatorsis highly welcome; additionally, experience in assay automation is of benefit.

You demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills
