We are a lean team with a flat organisation. You will be working closely together with team members in Zug and in remote locations, as well as with diverse service suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) onboarding processes, including customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence when required.


• Ensuring general corporate compliance, including alignment with regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML/CFT, GDPR, MiCA, FATF guidelines).


• Managing and updating internal compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they remain current and effective.


• Designing and delivering internal compliance training programs for employees on relevant topics such as AML, sanctions, data protection, and fraud prevention.


• Monitoring data compliance with applicable regulations such as GDPR or other regional privacy laws.


• Maintaining and managing a compliance risk register and contributing to regular risk assessments.


• Conducting periodic internal audits and gap analyses to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.


• Keeping up to date with evolving crypto regulations and ensuring that the company proactively adapts to legislative changes.


• Collaborating with legal, tech, and business teams to ensure new products and features are compliant by design.

Requirements 

• Legal background not mandatory, but strongly preferred (e.g., degree in law, experience in regulatory or legal environments).


• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, ideally within the crypto, fintech, or financial services sector.


• Proven ability to work independently, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.


• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks relevant to crypto (e.g., AML/CFT, FATF, MiCA, Travel Rule, sanctions).


• Experience with KYC/KYB tools and compliance software.


• Excellent communication skills and ability to interface cross-functionally with legal, operations, tech, and senior management.


• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving regulatory landscapes.


• Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical internal policies and procedures. 


• Fluent in English, German is a plus.

A Plus

• Familiarity with or a strong interest in the Web 3.0 movement, blockchain and other decentralized technologies


• Practical experience of working with the crypto / decentralized technology space, and open source, privacy-minded communities.


• Ability to handle crypto wallets, payments, etc.
