The Chair of Entrepreneurship conducts evidence-based entrepreneurship research and best practice applications for startups, venture capital and corporate venturing. Based on the decision-making perspective, we analyze relevant research questions concerning the entrepreneurial process of discovering, creating, evaluating, and exploiting entrepreneurial opportunities with high relevance for entrepreneurial practice. Our teaching activities are designed to provide profound theoretical and practice-oriented skills needed for entrepreneurship and responsible decision-making.
The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Service Center, is the first point of contact for startups and entrepreneurship at the University of St.Gallen. We support students and all other HSG-members on their entrepreneurial path, independently which level they reached so far (Idea, Prototype, ready for market). We offer an incubation program twice a year, startup-coaching, startup-offices, startup-events, and much more.
Your tasks
The Institute of Technology Management (ITEM) at the University of St. Gallen Gallen is looking for a Research Associate (m/f/d) (50-100%) for the Chair of Entrepreneurship of Prof. Dr. Dietmar Grichnik and the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Service Center of the University starting immediately or by arrangement.
- Participation in specific research projects within the entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Writing of scientific publications for internationally renowned journals
- Teaching assistance and theses supervision at Bachelor and Master level courses
- Support the conceptualization, development and implementation of the several activities within the ideation, incubation and acceleration programs at the University.
Your profile
- Above-average university Master's degree in management or in a related field, preferably with a focus on entrepreneurship
- Very good German and English skills as well as analytical skills and creative thinking
- Professional and self-confident appearance, high commitment and motivation, ability to work in a team as well as independently and proactively
