This position is responsible for managing capital engineering projects with emphasis on Oral Solid Dosage Manufacturing Facilities, Utilities, Infrastructures and Laboratories.
Your main tasks
- Responsible for total project delivery from concept to validation and startup process.
- Lead the definition of capital project scope and objectives, in alignment with business strategy and stakeholder needs
- Lead project teams, ensuring collaboration by engaging Facilities as well as clients, and stakeholders
- Lead the scheduling, planning, control, and effective coordination of all the parallel activities related to each project and maintain project schedule through minimal unanticipated schedule challenges
- Achieve a cost-effective, functional outcome with the use of design guidelines and standards, value engineering, life cycle costing and engineering best practices
- Oversee compliance with safety, regulatory, and legal requirements
- Maintain financial control through budgeting, risk management, and project closeout
- Deliver fully commissioned, qualified projects that meet stakeholder expectations
- Provide technical guidance, ensuring adherence to company standards and technology viability
- Manage external contractors and oversee equipment installation, FAT, and SAT
- Foster a strong Health & Safety culture within the organization
Your profile
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or related industries
- Expertise in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Process Safety Management (PSM), and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR)
- Familiar with the Stage Gate Process and financial management of capital projects
- Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and strong stakeholder management
- Strong interpersonal skills to interface and influence all levels of management
- Experience in technical transfer of technology and concepts
- Project Management experience in design, construction, qualification, and start-up in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with contract negotiation and management
- Fluent in English; French is a plus. Excellent written and communication skills
