LINE MANAGER: Director Finance Business Partner
We are looking for a highly strategically focused Senior Finance Business Partner to play a pivotal role in driving performance within our cruise business. This role requires a proactive mindset, with a strong emphasis on anticipating risks, identifying opportunities, and continuously monitoring financial and operational performance. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will provide critical insights to support data-driven decision-making and mid-term strategic planning.
Business Monitoring & Team Leadership:
• Continuously track financial and operational performance against targets, identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to drive strategic decision-making and optimise profitability.
• Ensure that financial forecasting and re-forecasting processes are robust and responsive to business needs.
• Lead and support the Finance Business Partners team, ensuring they have clear goals and the necessary support to succeed.
• Develop and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Business Partnering & Advisory:
• Act as a key financial advisor to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights and business recommendations.
• Analyse root-causes of business/operational performance and provide recommendations to improve results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, marketing, etc.) to align financial strategies with business objectives.
• Develop financial models and business cases to support investment decisions, new initiatives, and process improvements.
• Support contract review and price/cost optimisation.
• Work closely to whole Finance team to ensure effective knowledge sharing and to anticipate key activities and forecasts.
• Influence and challenge stakeholders to drive value creation and operational efficiencies.
• Support the data governance process by identifying reference reports, critical data for the company and defining rules to ensure data quality.
Risk & Opportunity Management:
• Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities by analyzing trends, market conditions, and internal data.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide early warning signals on potential challenges or growth opportunities.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend corrective actions to senior management.
• Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess the financial impact of external and internal factors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in finance, with a strong background in business partnering and financial planning.
• Proven ability to anticipate risks, identify opportunities, and monitor business performance in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong cruise business awareness and strategic thinking.
• Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• High proficiency in Excel, financial reporting tools (for eg, Power BI), ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and EPM systems (for eg, Tagetik).
