Position summary
As a member of our automation team, your mission will be to design, implement, and document automated systems. This involves defining requirements, developing hardware and software modules, documenting applications, and validating the resulting applications on both simulators and real machines.
Main responsibilities
- Development of new machine functions:
- Create electrical schematics,
- Select electrotechnical and electronic equipment,
- Design and program machine and motion control,
- Develop graphical operator interfaces,
- Configure field buses, drives and I/Os,
- Maintenance and improvement of existing machine functions:
- Investigate solutions for replacing obsolete components,
- Correct and improve machine and motion control,
- Enforce modular and configurable software architecture,
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the development process.
Profile
Would be an asset:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role,
- Excellent knowledge of electrotechnics,
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (e.g., Delphi, C#, C++),
- Expertise in motion control and drive systems,
- Strong skills and interest in automation, with an affinity for industrial machines,
- Unlimited curiosity and enthusiasm for new technologies,
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate well,
- Capable of taking initiatives and making decisions,
- Open-minded, methodical, conscientious, and able to work autonomously.
- Experience with agile methodology and continuous integration,
- Knowledge of EtherCAT and OPC-UA,
- Experience with database usage.
Education and languages skills
- BSc or MSc in microengineering, electrical engineering, or computer science,
- Proficiency in English and French.
