Network and Security Engineer (80-100% - all identities and backgrounds)

• Operate and continuously enhance network and security solutions for both Switch's internal infrastructure and Switch Cloud, including services such as firewalls, proxies, remote access, DMZ, VPC, and BYIP.
• Be part of the coordination team for internal security incidents and preventive measures.
• Take on additional responsibilities in related areas such as DNS, IP, and domain management.
• Optionally, assume the role of Product Owner or Scrum Master (Agile Coach), depending on your skill set and interests.

• Several years of hands-on experience in network engineering.
• Solid expertise in IT security and proven know-how in designing and operating Fortinet solutions.
• Ability to address the challenges of managing large-scale infrastructure in a service provider environment.
• Familiarity with cloud networking, Zscaler, or Infoblox is an advantage.
• Leadership experience in agile environments and/or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a plus.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a drive to push initiatives forward.
• A strong sense of community and understanding of the needs of research and education institutions.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German or French is advantageous.
