The Teamlead Engineering and Product - UGC (m/f/d) is a pivotal role within our travel media platform, responsible for guiding a multidisciplinary team of developers, product managers, and UX designers. The purpose of this role is to drive the contribution and usage of user-generated content, optimize its integration on the platform, and foster an active and engaged travel community. 

Product Development 

• You define and prioritize UGC strategies and roadmaps aligned with company goals, leveraging market insights and user feedback.
• You combine strong technical skills with user needs and product ownership capabilities to develop products with a strong value proposition.
• You boost user engagement by fostering a travel community and incentivizing participation.
• Ensuring seamless UGC integration – beneficial for platform growth and users.
• You utilize analytics tools and establish data-driven decisions.

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, promoting a results-oriented and learning-focused culture.
• You align teams with business strategy through clear goals and encourage skill development.
• Mentor developers to enhance career development and technical skills.
• You show high autonomy, proactivity, and a results-driven attitude.

• You manage project roadmaps for timely, budget-conscious delivery.
• Communicate vision and strategy to align stakeholders and facilitate decision-making.

• Guide scalable software architecture and design.
• You promote best practices in coding, testing, and documentation, fostering innovation.
• Combining technological developments with business objectives and entrepreneurial thinking.

What you need to succeed

• Passion for content, community, and especially the variety of user-generated content (UGC), to drive UGC growth and community engagement and optimize platform integration and performance
• Experience and expertise of at least 8 years in software engineering and development, preferably with a high-traffic travel or media platform and a proven track record of driving technical innovations that contribute to business growth by leading and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire cross-functional engineering teams. Expanding skills in fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence
• Exceptional communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and align stakeholders around technical strategies
• Hunger and pragmatism to combine a pioneering spirit for new technologies with the ability to effectively implement innovative solutions that align with long-term vision
• Fluency in English; additional languages (especially German) are a plus
