Job Purpose
As part of the EMEA Contribute (Total Rewards) Team, the Benefits Expert will be the expert on benefits programs, manage the benefits processes and policies for the EMEA region and will collaborate with the HR community on regional level as well as in the countries. This role is a key contributor in ensuring that all EMEA employees receive a total rewards proposition commensurate with the value that they bring to the Straumann organization.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Review and assess benefits data, landscape and maturity across EMEA countries to identify trends and effectiveness
- Based on gaps, market needs and benchmarking exercises, recommend programs and arrangements on regional level where appropriate or on country level
- Drive harmonization of the benefits programs across the region and serve as point of contact for local HR on benefits
- Centrally drive and locally support the documentation and maintenance of benefits policies, processes and procedures
- Establish procedures and digital solutions for benefits tracking and reporting ensuring compliance with laws and regulations (especially in the light of the upcoming EU Directive)
- Implement communication activities to raise awareness and educate on benefits topics across the EMEA community while working closely with local HR
- Participate in global compensation and benefits projects, as needed
Requirements needed:
Education
- University degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration)
- Experience (with key words)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Benefits area either as consultant or a multi-national organization
- Strong knowledge of local benefits regulations and compliance requirements as well as regional forces and developments
- Operational experience running benefits plans
- Excellent analytical, high level of attention to detail, data and insights driven
- Proficiency in SAP HRIS and benefits management software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment coordinating projects end-to-end
- Previous experience within the medical devices/pharmaceutical industry is a plus
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills, as demonstrated in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment. Team player with open, positive attitude and respect for others
- Fluent (written and spoken) English; French and/or German are a strong asset.
- MS Office proficient with very good command of Excel and PowerPoint.
