Are you passionate about behavioral science, consumer-technology interactions, and financial decision making? In this postdoc position, you will conduct cutting-edge research on the most pressing topics in technology-supported investment decision making.
Job information
Expected start date for position: 1st September 2025, or mutually agreed date
Contract length: 1 year, renewable up to 3 years.
Activity rate: 80%
Workplace: UNIL Lausanne-Dorigny
Salary at 100%: Gross salary starting at CHF 85'819.- (see here "Chercheurs FNS senior")
The open position is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to attend international conferences to present their work and to travel and learn from leading experts through our academic and industry collaborations.
Your responsibilities
The successful candidate will work 100% of their time on the SNSF-funded project in the area of technology financial decision making with a focus on understanding mobile-based retail investment decisions through experimental research and secondary data analysis.
The postdoc will be supervised by Prof. Isabelle Engeler (University of Lausanne). The project is joint work with Stephanie Tully (University of Southern California, Marshall Business School) and Johannes Müller-Trede (IESE Business School).
Your qualifications
- PhD that focused on (Behavioral) Economics, Judgment and Decision Making, Marketing, (Behavioral) Finance, and/or Psychology;
- Excellent English proficiency;
- Advanced quantitative and programming skills;
- Experience with designing and running behavioral studies;
- Strong motivation and dedication to quantitative and experimental consumer research bridging behavioral science, consumer-technology interaction, finance, and decision making.
