Your role at DigitalQ
As a Senior Performance Engineer , you will play a key role in our top-class team. You bring extensive knowledge and experience in the field of performance and reliability engineering and help our customers to test and optimize their systems for stability and scalability. Your competence and persuasiveness help our customers to implement forward-looking solutions for continuous verification in their companies.
Your tasks
- Analysis and consulting: Implementation of maturity assessments in order to develop tailor-made strategies for the continuous verification of non-functional requirements in the context of large projects or company-wide.
- Non-functional testing: Planning, implementing, and executing tests (scalability, performance, capacity, availability, etc.) to ensure that applications remain reliable and performant under different scenarios.
- Reliability Engineering: Analysis and improvement of system reliability and availability; Develop observability and analytics for site reliability engineering and development teams.
- Optimization: Runtime analysis and optimization of complex distributed systems on various technology stacks and platforms (especially Kubernetes, cloud systems)
- Customer communication: Close cooperation and communication with stakeholders in order to convey quality aspects and optimizations in an understandable and practical way.
- Innovation: Automation of analyses and quality gates as part of our innovation project AI-Square as well as continuous improvement of the Continuous Verification Practice.
Your profile
- Experience: Several years of professional experience in the field of non-functional testing, especially in performance and reliability engineering.
- Technical expertise: In-depth knowledge of tools such as JMeter, K6, Gatling, LoadRunner, or similar performance testing tools; Experience with observability solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, or other APM tools.
- Confident on DevOps platforms and experienced in dealing with K8s, Git, IaC
- Developer experience with at least one of the languages Java, Go or Python
- Experience with continuous profiling (e.g. Parca), chaos engineering is an advantage. Smart execution, test analytics and anomaly detection
- Methodological competence: Experience with agile project methods (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) as well as in the development of test strategies and processes
- Analytical skills: Strong understanding of software architecture and systems to effectively identify weaknesses and areas for improvement.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex technical contexts in a way that is understandable even for non-technical stakeholders.
- Languages: Fluent in German and English.
