Strategic Procurement Manager "Technology" (f/m/d)

The Axpo Batteries and Hybrid team is looking for reinforcement in strategic procurement. If you have strong supply chain expertise and experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or procurement in renewable energy or technical construction projects, this role is for you.

What you will do:

• Participate in complex procurement projects, especially in the BESS sector


• Manage the supplier portfolio, including selection, development, and risk management


• Support the implementation of strategic category management processes (source-to-contract & supplier management)


• Identify and implement strategic and tactical sourcing improvements


• Design, negotiate, and manage contracts


• Collaborate closely with the business to resolve service disruptions and ensure efficient processes

What you bring & who you are:

• University degree in a technical or business-related field


• Negotiation-level English skills


• Technical understanding and strong interest in new energy technologies


• Experience in negotiating technical or construction contracts, ideally with project management exposure


• Confident in handling contractual legal matters with legal support


• Solid knowledge of supply chain management and strategic procurement


• Strong communicator with the ability to convey complex topics clearly


• Team player with an open and collaborative working style

About the team:

The battery team consists of project developers and an execution team. As part of the procurement team, you will be involved in all procurement activities across Europe, from supplier assessment to contract completion and post-execution monitoring. You will work mainly from Switzerland with occasional travel, supported by a dynamic, experienced, and results-driven team.
