The opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental and Employee Health & Safety Specialist to join our team. This role involves developing and implementing policies to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions, investigating accidents and environmental incidents, and liaising with engineers, management, and regulatory authorities. You will provide advice and training on safety protocols, conduct audits for compliance, and maintain relationships with the community and stakeholders. How you’ll make an impact

Accompany and support the HSE Manager GCB in the initiation, coordination and implementation of cross-divisional concepts, projects and prevention campaigns

Support line managers in fulfilling their responsibilities in safety-related topics as well as providing technical advice in the areas of occupational safety, safety audits, hazard assessments, risk analyses and implementation of risk mitigation measures

Organize training courses on occupational safety, emergency measures and first aid training

Support the HSE Manager GCB during safety inspections (internal audits) in all areas of the company

Promote health and safety in the company

Help with the implementation and monitoring of internal HSE standards

Work independently on continuous improvement projects
Your background
-
Completed basic education with a strong interest in occupational health and safety topics

Additional training as an ASGS specialist or safety assistant is a plus

Eager to continuously learn and develop new skills

Team-oriented and solution-focused approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in both written and spoken German and English

Enjoys hands-on activities and willing to organize and assist with internal training courses

Highly independent with good MS Office skills

Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, as well as EKAS guideline 6508, is a plus
