Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Business Analyst to lead & support strategic transformation initiatives for an international private bank. This role involves managing project execution while also gathering and analysing business requirements to guide the bank through strategic projects, collaborating closely with key stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure a seamless transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate strategic projects, ensuring alignment with the bank’s overall IT strategy.
- Act as the primary liaison between the bank and its key vendor on transformational programs.
- Gather, document, and analyse business and technical requirements to support effective project delivery.
- Translate business needs into clear specifications and ensure alignment with solution architecture and migration plans.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (IT, security, compliance, operations) to ensure readiness and alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Report project status, key risks, and progress updates to Senior management and relevant Steering Committees.
- Manage dependencies, risks, and issue resolution related to the projects.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, ensuring clear updates and expectations management.
- Support contract negotiations, service-level agreements (SLAs), and vendor governance processes.
- Drive change management as part of the transition.
Required Skills & Expertise:
- Project Management & Business Analysis Expertise: Experience in both managing IT transformation projects and eliciting, documenting and analysing business requirements.
- Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud concepts and migration methodologies.
- Core Banking Experience: Prior experience working with Avaloq.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with senior executives, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
- Regulatory & Compliance Awareness: Understanding of financial regulations, data security, and risk management in cloud environments.
- Technical Acumen: Solid grasp of IT architecture, cloud security, and infrastructure transformation best practices.
- Agile & Waterfall Project Management: Experience in both methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Communication & Leadership: Strong ability to influence, drive decision-making, and lead cross-functional teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years’ experience in IT project management and/or business analysis, preferably within private banking or financial services.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale migration projects and producing high-quality business and functional documentation.
- Certification in Avaloq is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile (Scrum), or cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI) are advantageous.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
