Senior Windows System Engineer Description

We are looking for a Windows System Engineer to strengthen our engineering unit in Zürich to support our banking client.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer on prem or hybrid workloads including identity management, security, migration, monitoring, high availability, networking and memory
• Cooperate closely with the client’s development team and other stakeholders
• Support testing in test environments for planned software releases
• Handle complex challenges using strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Integrate 3rd party products into the client’s ecosystem

Requirements

• High Windows Server administration skills (e.g. MCSE certification) using, for example, the Admin Center, Scripting Host or PowerShell scripts
• Good knowledge of Apache Tomcat on Windows
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage a diverse workload effectively in a highly demanding environment
• Ability to work reliable in a collaborative, international team
• Ability to contribute to software architecture documents, technical manuals
• Fluency in English

Nice to have

• Fluency in German
• Experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, Windows Technologies and SQL Server (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server)
• Experience with test execution and test management fundamentals
• Experience integrating PBI reporting solutions to core .NET applications
• Experience SQL Server, query language, stored procedures and design/architectural patterns
• Experience with Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture
