Published 16 April 2025 Workplace Basel, North West Switzerland, Switzerland CategoryThe public economics group, located at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Basel and led by Prof. Beat Hintermann, is hiring a Student Assistant. The average workload will be 8-10 hours per week.
Start date: July or August (exact date to be determined). The initial contract is for 6 months, with the possibility of an extension.
Your position
The job involves research and teaching support to Prof. Hintermann and the researchers in his team.
Your profile
You are interested in research in the area of environmental and public economics. Because some of the work will consist in obtaining and organizing data for research purposes, an affinity in programming and data management is helpful. Ideally, you have experience with statistical software (R, Stata or Python).
Applicants must be students in good standing at the University of Basel. In addition, a high level of self-reliance and an efficient attitude to work is expected for this job.
