We are looking for a Global HR Business Partner to join our HQ HR team and closely support the Data & Tech (IT) & Digital Platform Technologies (DPT) organizations, supporting our CITO. Reporting to a Senior Global HRBP, you will be the local HRBP for employees in our Basel HQ office and oversee employees in our IT hubs primarily in Madrid, Bangalore, Berlin and Montreal. You will be a main HR contact for an Executive Member of the Board (EMB), the Chief Information and Technology Officer (CITO). As a trusted advisor to the Executive and Leaders in the CITO group you will drive alignment of the People agenda with the business objectives. You will also collaborate with other HR Business Partners and “HR Clouds” (HR Centres of Excellence) to ensure the delivery of consistent and high-quality HR services across the organization. Locally there are approximately 200 CITO employees in Basel, and around 500 employees globally where you would collaborate with local HR organizations to ensure appropriate support and the rollout of global initiatives.
Global HR Transformation Project Management – You would lead global change and project management activities supporting the development of the Global HR model and driving change management. There is appetite for HR transformation and you would be an active advisor participating in vision setting, model development, HR tech adoption strategies, change management and implementation. We look for a strong project manager with exceptional organization and communication skills, who can work with confidence in a complex matrix environment.
The role is based full time in Basel at least 4 days a week. Limited travel may be expected for business leadership meeting activities and business reviews. The role reports to a Senior Global HRBP.
Responsibilities
- Understand business and people needs; articulate and translate business trends, needs and challenges and feedback to various stakeholders within and outside of the HR community.
- Provide highly responsive HR support to a fast paced global and agile business, updating system record and partnering with our HRSS team to ensure . Act as a strategic partner, coach, mentor, and advisor to our global business leaders to enable them to deliver performance through their people in line with Straumann Group strategy, purpose, mindset and core beliefs
- Take ownership in global HR processes (e.g. budgeting, workforce planning, position and performance management, engagement, rewards review, talent, succession, etc.).
- Ensure implementation of Global HR solutions, initiatives & processes with strong matrix collaboration and evaluate and feedback to the global solution owners.
- Lead the implementation and further improvement of HR processes supported by digital tools to develop the department towards a more self-service organization together and in collaboration with the respective global, regional, and local HR functions.
- Drive and influence a positive employee (life) experience across all moments that matter by enabling the business leaders.
- Act as a Transformation and Change Agent and take a leading role in our Culture Journey to foster a high-performing and engaged workforce.
- Strong project manager with exceptional organization and communication skills, and can work with confidence in a complex matrix environment. Participate in and lead global projects/initiatives/programs and work closely together with the Global HR team and the regional and local HR functions. Proactive and regular exchange with HR Leaders including best practice sharing.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of progressively growing HR experience in a HR Business Partner and / or change management role. Proven track record of leading the execution of HR strategy and operations for large and complex global functions. Experience as a participant or leading HR transformation within a global matrix environment and working with different cultures.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate business objectives into a people agenda. Very strong skills in PowerPoint, Excel with the ability to develop and sell plans, concepts and lead change.
- Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels and become a trusted advisor to senior leadership. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization. Intellectually curious with a willingness and desire and track record of learning. Highly adaptable and flexible, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and change in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Widespread knowledge of coaching, leadership development and succession planning with demonstrated success in building talent pools and leadership pipelines.
- Passionate about people and culture, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Proficient in the use of HR systems and tools (we use SAP Employee Central as our HRIS, SuccessFactors for much of our HR suite, GLINT for Engagement Surveys …), and data-driven in decision making.
