The Position
OE/LEAN Manager
The Operational Excellence Leader, based in Basel, is a member of the Global Clinical Supply Chain - Business Operations Support team and responsible for leading and supporting OE initiatives across PTD, with focus on the Basel site.
The PTDS Business Operations Support team is an enabling function for PTDS which provides services such as Business Strategy, Risk Management, Training, Compliance, Communication, Portfolio Management, Performance metrics data & insights,Sustainability, among others.The scope of Operational Excellence services is beyond PTDS and will provide OE expertise and support across all Pharma Technical Development (PTD) areas.
The Opportunity
In this position, the Operational Excellence Leader, is accountable for consistently and effectively perform, as follow:

Drive a strategic vision and program for Continuous Improvement in PTD in collaboration with PTD OE peers

Partner with PTDx leaders and Business Process Owners to identify, prioritize and drive improvement projects

Lead and/or support OE projects of varying complexity using Lean Six Sigma techniques to improve end-to-end processes

Coach project leaders of OE / bPPM projects of varying complexity

Act as coach for Green Belt and Black Belt candidates

Develop and/or conduct necessary trainings to further develop OE capabilities at the site(s)

Providing internal service to define and execute a range of projects from small team kaizen events to large-scale, complex improvement projects delivering significant value
Who you are
-
Bachelor in Science, degree in Life Sciences or Business, MBA or advance degree

A minimum of 8 years total work experience with at least 4 or more years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry

Certified Lean + Six Sigma Master Black Belt

Scrum Master and Product Owner Certification (Scrum.org) desired

Certified Project Management Professional (eg. PMI,PRINCE2) desired
Experience, Skills and Knowledge

Certified in proven methodologies like Lean / Six Sigma with a proven track record in applying Continuous Improvement / BEx tools, experience in manufacturing operations, business improvement, quality systems or other areas related to projects

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Proven leadership, collaboration, and customer service skills. Able to challenge the status quo, evolve business processes, and drive a culture of continuous improvement

Good functional computer skills (Microsoft Office programs, SAP, Minitab, etc.)

Language skills: German and English
