Tasks and job requirements
- Develop creative solutions to challenging applied research problems
- Collaborate with industry partners to improve products with a real-world impact
- Run experiments with large language models (LLM) on our GPU cluster
- Design new evaluation techniques for a better understanding of your algorithms
- Communicate your research findings internally, to industry partners and the broader research community
- Publish results in peer-reviewed proceedings
- Attend and present at international conferences
- Work closely with academic supervisors and contribute to joint publications
- Stay up to date with relevant literature and technological developments
- Supervise student theses and projects and potentially teach classes or exercise sessions
Your profile
- Master's degree (completed) in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Data Science, or related field
- Strong software engineering skills
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch/TensorFlow
- Background in NLP and machine learning
- Strong problem-solving skills paired with critical, constructive and logical thinking
- High level of curiosity for advancing science in NLP
- Independent and structured working style
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Current residence in and knowledge of the Swiss/European economic, research, and education systems is advantageous
