For 50 years, our training products have been helping businesses operate safely,
efficiently, and sustainably, building career opportunities for the people they
employ. You will join the IATA Training Operations team, ensuring product
delivery to 100,000 students every year. We are a strong and diverse team which
strives to contribute to the development of professionals the commercial
aviation industry needs.
You
will be part of the project team planning and executing the implementation and
migration to a new Learning Management System. In your role, you will be
responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of the data that will be
transferred from the old to the new system, as well as assisting with the
migration process and testing. Among other tasks, you will:
Analyze the data structures and formats of the old and new LMS and identify any potential gaps or issues that might affect the data quality and migration.
Prepare and clean the data according to the agreed specifications and standards, and ensure that all data is complete, consistent, and valid.
Run the data migration scripts in the test environment and monitor and report any errors or anomalies.
Perform quality checks and validations on the migrated data and verify that all data is correctly mapped and transferred.
Collaborate with the project manager and other team members to resolve any data quality and migration issues and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Document the data quality and migration process and results and create reports and dashboards to track the progress and status of the project.
Carry out any special project assigned.
Bachelor’s
degree or equivalent in computer science, data science, information systems, or
related field
Experience or interest in data quality and migration, preferably in the context of learning management systems
Proficient in data analysis and manipulation tools and languages, such as SQL, Python, Excel, etc.
Familiar with data quality and migration best practices and standards, such as SCORM, AICC, LTI, QTI, etc.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
