We are building a new team of Network & Security Engineers, and we are looking for a talented individual to join us!
Network and Security Engineer (80-100% - all identities and backgrounds)
Your main tasks are
- Operate and continuously enhance network and security solutions for both Switch’s internal infrastructure and Switch Cloud, including services such as firewalls, proxies, remote access, DMZ, VPC, and BYIP.
- Be part of the coordination team for internal security incidents and preventive measures.
- Take on additional responsibilities in related areas such as DNS, IP, and domain management.
- Optionally, assume the role of Product Owner or Scrum Master (Agile Coach), depending on your skill set and interests.
What you bring
- Several years of hands-on experience in network engineering.
- Solid expertise in IT security and proven know-how in designing and operating Fortinet solutions.
- Ability to address the challenges of managing large-scale infrastructure in a service provider environment.
- Familiarity with cloud networking, Zscaler, or Infoblox is an advantage.
- Leadership experience in agile environments and/or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a plus.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a drive to push initiatives forward.
- A strong sense of community and understanding of the needs of research and education institutions.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German or French is advantageous.
