Network Engineer vacancy requiring profound VMware knowledge for our Bern based client in the telecommunications sector.
Your tasks:
- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process including integrating code changes into a shared repository and automating the testing and deployment of applications
- Managing IT infrastructure including provisioning, configuring, and maintaining servers, storage, and networking resources using technologies like VMware vSphere and Kubernetes
- Monitoring application performance and infrastructure health utilizing monitoring tools to analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Fostering collaboration between development and operations teams to enhance productivity and streamline workflows
- Automating repetitive tasks and processes, such as deployment, testing, and infrastructure management improving efficiency and reducing errors
Your experience/knowledge:
- Several years of professional experience as Network or DevOps engineer in virtualization environments and large platforms involving VMware technologies
- Expertise in DevOps tools like GIT, Ansible, Python, and CI/CD
- Proficiency in automation of network configurations and operational procedures
- Certified knowledge of NSX-T, VMware Vsphere, VCD, Cisco CCNP, CCNA or similar
- Language skills: English - fluent in written and spoken, German - beneficial
