Your profile

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree (License) in Biomedical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Optical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Professional Experience: 2+ years in optical sensing technology with hands-on experience in experimental device testing within (bio)chemical lab environments is a must.
  • Technical Skills: Strong foundation in physical chemistry or biochemistry as applied to sensor technology. Proficient in experimental test design, data collection, and troubleshooting.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in at least one scientific software for data analysis and presentation.
  • Team Player: Proven ability to collaborate effectively and communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Adaptable: Thrives in rapidly changing project environments with innovative demands.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English; German is a plus. Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Lab Management: Experience in laboratory management and operations is a bonus.

Your mission

About the Role:
As an Optical Biosensing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our cutting-edge biosensing technology. Your contributions will directly impact the future of health monitoring by supporting the development and optimization of optical biosensing systems for biomarker detection in humans.

What You'll Do:

  • Innovate: Support the development and fine-tuning of advanced optical biosensing systems.
  • Test and Validate: Conduct thorough tests and validations in both lab settings and real-world clinical environments.
  • Document Excellence: Prepare high-quality documentation for all research, tests, and development outcomes.
  • Report and Present: Create and deliver detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure Quality: Maintain high standards in all laboratory operations.
  • Manage Resources: Support the upkeep of laboratory supplies and needs.
  • Travel and Explore: Engage in up to 25% travel across Switzerland and neighboring EU countries for experimental tests.

Our recruitment process
