Team Education Platforms & Implementation (P&I):
The P&I team drives the design, development and implementation of educational initiatives, creating effective learning experiences and managing digital platforms. We collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize content, improve user experience, and ensure seamless integration with our IT systems.

The Project Manager Learning Operations (80% role) is responsible for the successful implementation and delivery of small to large (up to 300 participants) blended online learning programs using existing technology infrastructure, including Totara LMS, Kaltura video platform and AO's event management system builds on Salesforce. This role is critical to ensuring these programs run effectively, derive insights to build broader capabilities in online learning operations.
The position requires strong coordination skills, hands-on expertise in learning technologies and operations, the ability to handle a variety of online learning modalities and the ability to manage both asynchronous and synchronous online components.
Time allocation:
- 60% dedicated to operations
- 20% focused on capability development
Work schedule:
This role requires some flexibility to work outside of standard office hours, including weekends and in different time zones to support global programs. Time off will be granted during the week to compensate for non-standard working hours.
Main responsibilities includes:
Program Management & Development
- Perform implementation and ongoing operational management of large asynchronous and synchronous online programs.
- Leverage existing technology stack (Totara, Kaltura, Salesforce) to ensure program success and continuously optimize interfaces to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Apply systems thinking to continuously improve and refine processes of online program delivery.
- Streamlining and standardizing online training for seamless handover to event teams, enabling easy execution without LMS expertise.
- Building a knowledge base and operations manual as a point of reference for our online/blended learning programs
Stakeholder Coordination & Support
- Coordinate closely between faculty surgeons, Product Owners, and other internal stakeholders e.g. Event management team, IT partners and other project managers as well as external vendors.
- Proactive and decisive task management to support surgeons before, after and during online sessions.
- Development of supporting help features to transfer knowledge to end users and ensure understanding of platform functions.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in educational platforms, and end2end operations, with specific experience in Learning Management Systems, Video and virtual events experience platforms, and CRM systems.
- Ideally experience in managing large-scale online programs.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous and synchronous online learning methodologies
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and across time zones, with corresponding time off during the week
- Highly collaborative, resilient, and solution-oriented mindset
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and communication between technical teams and medical professionals
- Fluency in English. German would be considered as an added value.
