Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a Head of Investment Research to join our team in Zug, Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Scouting & Research: Identify and proactively scout for emerging technological and commodity startups, particularly within the food-tech, nutraceutical, aerospace, aeronautical and related sectors from BRICS and Central Asia.
  • Startup Evaluation: Lead comprehensive evaluations of potential investment opportunities, including assessing technology innovations, business models, market potential, competitive landscape, and financial viability.
  • Due Diligence: Manage the end-to-end due diligence process for investment opportunities, including technical, financial, and operational assessments.
  • Investment Strategy Development: Develop and refine investment strategies, identifying key target areas for growth within technological innovation and emerging startup ecosystems. Align investment opportunities with the organization’s overall strategic goals.
  • Investor & Government Relations: Foster ongoing communication with key stakeholders in Europe and Central Asia, with a focus on the company’s industrial park development projects in Central Asia. Basic proficiency in Russian is required for effective interactions in these regions.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A university graduate degree or above in Engineering and Finance is required.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in technological startups, with a strong preference for backgrounds in the food-tech, nutraceutical, aerospace or aeronautical sectors, specifically within Switzerland.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of the food-tech, nutraceutical, aerospace and aeronautical markets, including key trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Leadership in R&D: Proven success in leading Research & Development projects from initial concept through to commercialization, demonstrating a clear impact on business growth.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capabilities in data analysis, strategic thinking, and overcoming complex challenges.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements across key markets including the EU and Central Asia.
  • Startup Experience: Hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment, ideally in a leadership or senior research role.
  • Language Skills: The fluency in English is essential, with basic proficiency in French and German required. Сonversational Russian is also required.
  • Travel requirements: Readiness to travel to Central Asia is required.
