For our Swiss HQ based in Ecublens we are currently looking to hire one person for the role of:
MISSION: Analysing and managing the costs of production, ensuring that operations are financially efficient and profitable, focusing on tracking production costs and providing financial insights to help improve cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Standard Resources’ Costs Definition
o Define Resources rate (FTE/machines) costs, set up raw material cost, maintain periodic cost rolls/updates
o Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in the ERP
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, industrialization, supply chain and HR) to ensure precise costing and accurate financial reporting, supporting strategic decision-making. Perform cost simulations with Sales & Marketing
- Production variances analyses
o Analyses production costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
o Provide insight for business partners to enable the evaluation of costs, variances, and applicable operating measures
o Conduct monthly reviews of financial statements and subsequent analyses
- Production factory budgeting
o Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights into cost drivers and trends
o Coordinate with local management to prepare the annual operating budgets and forecasts
o Responsible for reporting, forecasting and analysing the manufacturing cost sections of the P&L
- Inventory management
o Perform month end close activities related to cost accounting. Inventory roll forward exercise, reconciliation & valuation
o Perform inventory and valuation, ensuring accurate reporting of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods
o Thoroughly monitor inventory transactions and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with corporate policies
- Capex
o Utilize corporate resources and reporting systems to provide high-level support to capital expenditure justification, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Supervision of annual fixed asset physical inventories.
o Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation
PROFILE
- Degree in Finance or a related. Several years of experience in cost accounting, within manufacturing or production environments.
- Knowledge of Cost Accounting: Strong understanding of costing methodologies, cost systems, and inventory management.
- Ability to analyse complex financial data and generate actionable insights and high level of accuracy in calculations and reporting.
- Communication Skills: Ability to present findings to management and collaborate with cross-functional teams. English and French
- Problem-Solving: Capability to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to reduce costs.
- IT: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
