PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to define and implement Avolta’s global consumer-facing brand and Marketing communications strategy, elevating the consumer brand image and tone across all consumer touchpoints, including retail, F&B, and digital channels. This includes leading the global brand calendar, ensuring consistent messaging across regions, developing the marketing plan for a new loyalty program, and emphasizing a consumer-centric approach. Additionally, the role involves managing the global marketing communications budget and overseeing the budget process, ensuring efficiency and collaboration with internal and external agencies. The position reports to the Senior Vice President Global Marketing and will be based in Basel, Switzerland.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Communications

Is responsible for defining and implementing Avolta’s global consumer-facing brand and Marketing communications strategy

Elevates the consumer brand image and tone of voice across all consumer touchpoints (Retail, F&B, and Digital channels)

Gathers, analyzes, and compares extensive data sets to propose innovative and effective Marketing communication strategies that align with the company's objectives

Coordinates global Marketing communication efforts across different regions, ensuring a consistent and cohesive consumer-facing brand message worldwide

Implementation

Leads the development and implementation of the global brand calendar, to meet the brand positioning strategy and achieve commercial objectives

Is responsible for the implementation of a consistent message and communication across business units and geographic areas, in close collaboration with regional / local Commercial & Marketing team

Develops and implements the marketing plan for Avolta’s new loyalty program, by working closely with global & regional Category, Commercial, Corporate Comms, and other Marketing functions to deliver a premium yet accessible consumer experience

Develops and implements consumer-centric marketing campaigns with a focus on achieving a premium yet accessible consumer experience, leveraging a strong consumer-centric mindset

Reporting and Budgeting

Oversees and manages the global marketing communications budget, ensuring efficiency in the budget process, and coordinates the activities of internal and external agencies

Develops and prepares comprehensive quarterly marketing communication reports, providing in-depth analysis and insights to guide strategic decision-making

Gathers, analyzes, and compares extensive data sets to propose innovative and effective communication strategies that align with the company's objectives

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in global brand management and communications, preferably in the retail, F&B, or digital sectors

Proven track record in developing and implementing successful global brand strategies and consumer-centric marketing campaigns

Strong strategic thinker and excellent communication skills

Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data

Ability to collaborate effectively with regional and local commercial and marketing teams

Strong budget management skills, with the ability to oversee and drive efficiency in the global marketing communications budget
